Slack Freezing & Not Responding Fix Guide
Follow these steps in order. Start from Quick Fix — most issues are resolved there.

This is the fastest way to fix Slack when it freezes or becomes unresponsive. It reloads the current workspace and clears temporary display issues.

🔄 Refresh Slack
Use this if Slack is slow, messages are not loading, or channels are not updating correctly.
Shortcut: Ctrl + R / Cmd + R
💥 Hard Refresh
A hard refresh forces Slack to fully reload all data. Use this when Slack is frozen, blank, or stuck on loading.
Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R
Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
🔁 Restart Slack
Sometimes Slack is still running in the background even after closing the window. A full restart clears hidden processes that may cause freezing.
- Close Slack completely

🧹 Clear Cache
